Author: Nick Indar

Nick is an Indo-Guyanese, Hindu, Social Worker and passionate writer residing in New Jersey. Throughout his life, he has always had a deep love and passion for the power of the written word. From an early age, he was deeply inspired by literature in the forms of poetry as well as fiction and nonfiction stories. Some of his favorite authors include J.K. Rowling, Khalid Hosseini, F. Scott Fitzgerald, Agatha Christie, Robert Frost, and R.M. Drake. One of his main sources of inspiration in deciding to pursue Social Work as a career was not only his love for helping others, but also his fascination with unique, individual narratives of different people and using therapeutic techniques to help others overcome the challenges they face to become empowered authors of their own sagas. Nick enjoys writing poetry, fiction, short stories, and articles on mindset development, spirituality, social justice and activism, as well as interviewing fellow members of the community that are engaging in meaningful, purpose driven work. His other passions include being an active member of a Hindu spiritualist community in New Jersey where he engages in worship of the Goddess Mariamman, singing, and supporting local organizations and causes. He also engages in meditation and journaling as part of his spiritual practice as well. In his spare time, he enjoys cooking, watching movies, listening to music, spending quality time with family and friends, and traveling. He is also an avid book lover and has a wide array of literary interests ranging from fiction novels and poetry to personal growth and mindset development books to books on spirituality and Hindu Scriptures. After all, nothing can beat sitting down with a great read and a steaming hot caramel macchiato!
